Illinois Residency Requirement: This position requires Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date.
The SIU School of Dental Medicine in Alton, Illinois is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Information Technology Support Associate (ITSA), Help Desk position. The ITSA- Help Desk Support employee will assist at the School of Dental Medicine with implementation of the Office of Dental Information Technology (ODIT) functions including:
1) Configuration, analysis, and revision of highly confidential HIPAA protected mission critical clinical patient information system functions;
2) Management of SDM user IT security access;
3) Triage, user support, and quality assurance follow-up of all IT support requests coming into ODIT;
4) Assist with the creation, development, revision and presentation of database training curricula to the faculty, staff, postdocs and students through live presentation, manuals and video instructions with access via SDM intranet web pages;
5) Schedule management of the members of the ODIT;
6) Coordinate equipment installation and maintenance by outside vendors;
7) Coordinate absence requests from departmental staff and ensure appropriate coverage;
8) Manage purchase orders for ODIT supplies, software, and equipment.
Additionally, the ITSA, Help Desk Support position will perform routine office functions such as typing, copying, filing as needed by ODIT as well as perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
