We’re looking for an ITSA Client Support Specialist II to join our team and help us provide outstanding computer solutions and technical support to our campus community at SIUE!
As a key member of the team, you will support our customers by providing effective and timely technical solutions to their computer-related issues. From troubleshooting customer service problems to maintaining systems and solutions, your role will be vital in keeping things running smoothly.

What You Will Do
- Technical Support & Maintenance: Provide direct support for computer solutions to resolve customer service problems. Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Training & Guidance: Offer training and support on hardware, software, and networking, empowering users with the knowledge they need to succeed.
- Computer Refresh Cycle: Participate in refreshing leased computers on campus during the lease cycle, ensuring that systems are up to date and functioning efficiently.
- Lab & Classroom Support: Provide hands-on support in computer labs and classrooms, ensuring that systems are installed, configured, and maintained to meet the needs of students and faculty.
- Research & Testing: Conduct research, test new technical solutions, and provide recommendations to clients to enhance their operations.
- Technology Training: Offer technology training for clients, helping them navigate new tools and systems with ease.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Associates and one year of experience in a related field
OR
Three years of experience in a related field.
Any combination totaling three years from the following categories: progressively more responsible work experience in an Information Technology (IT) related profession; college course work which included Information Technology (IT), or a closely related discipline. All experience can be concurrent.
* 3 years experience installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software;
* 3 years working knowledge of application programming, and programming theory and practice;
* 3 years experience troubleshooting computer networking technology, servers, services and related protocols such as NETBIOS, IPX/SPX, TCP/IP;
* 3 years working knowledge of multiple platform such as DOS, MS-Windows, MAC, OS/2, UNIX, etc;
* 3 years Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or alternate large scale imaging experience;
* 3 years maintaining systems in an Active Directory environment;
* 3 years demonstrable project lead skills, including implementation, tracking, and deliverables.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
Salary : $48,889 - $51,462
