Job Overview
The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Laboratory Quality Assurance Coordinator in the Public Health Laboratory. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
Responsible for performing quality management, quality control auditing, regulatory compliance, method validation, quality improvement, and quality assurance training to support Southern Nevada Health District (District) laboratory operations.
This position is funded by a grant and the continuation of the position depends on the availability of grant funds and the business requirements of SNHD. If the funding is discontinued or becomes unavailable, your employment may be terminated without the right to appeal.

Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, microbiology, biological sciences, biomedical science, immunology, or molecular biology and five (5) years of professional clinical laboratory experience which includes two (2) years' experience in quality assurance and quality control program for an accredited clinical laboratory and a minimum of two (2) years of lead and / or supervisory experience.
