Location: Gainesville or Tallahassee, FL (hybrid)

The Program Coordinator is responsible for scholarship application processing, student records management, and eligibility tracking. Additionally, the position collaborates with Student Life & Leadership and Accounting to support SSF's cooperative living program, student success initiatives, and program administration. It also involves monitoring academic progress, financial need, and student-related financial projects while maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.

- At least one year of experience in program coordination, office management, or similar activities. Substantial internship or volunteer activities may also substitute for work experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM databases
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to pass a Level 1 background check

Key Responsibilities
Admissions
- Coordinate scholarship applications from receipt to final selection.
- Provide incoming students with acceptance and move-in materials
- Maintain student records and track eligibility requirements
- Maintain accurate records in the student database and prepare reports as needed
- Support student-related program budget and monitoring process
- Assist with scholarship renewal application process
- Support Student Life & Leadership activities as directed
- Support Accounting with student-related financial projects.
- Coordinate with Student Life & Leadership to support student success initiatives
The Program Coordinator must:
- Possess an Associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Demonstrate at least one year of experience in program coordination, office management, or similar activities. Substantial internship or volunteer activities may also substitute for work experience
- Have strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Enjoy working with diverse student populations
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM databases
- Possess strong written communication skills
- Be able to pass a Level 1 background check
- Be able to commit to this part-time position with flexible work hours, four to six hours per day.
- Live within comfortable driving distance to our office in either Tallahassee or Gainesville, Florida
- Be able to report onsite for occasional in office hours, 2-3 days per month.
- Understand that hours that will vary be week; :20-30 hours depending on the department's needs. Higher hours are anticipated October to November and April to May.
- Be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer to manage records, process applications, and prepare reports
- Be able to stand, walk, and perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs) for in-office work, event support, or handling student materials
- Be capable of repetitive hand movements for typing, data entry, and document processing
- Have reliable transportation to travel occasionally between office locations or for student-related events if needed
