The Graphic Designer creates innovative, brand-right graphics for all tiers of apparel while staying up-to-date with trend analysis and managing calendar (both in-line and quick-turn), product attributes, and sourcing to ensure delivery of quality product to our retailers and consumers. The incumbent accomplishes high-level concept building to move the brand forward, working in conjunction with the men’s and women’s design teams to ensure execution of graphic design projects, including but not limited to apparel, gifts with purchase (GWP), labels, hangtags, accessories, and other skipjack gear.

The incumbent accomplishes high-level concept building to move the brand forward, working in conjunction with the men’s and women’s design teams to ensure execution of graphic design projects, including but not limited to apparel, gifts with purchase (GWP), labels, hangtags, accessories, and other skipjack gear.
Crew Position:
- Analyze and interpret direct communication regarding multiple graphic design projects from men’s, women’s, and youth design teams, as well as special projects, as directed.
- Design engaging apparel graphics based on seasonal assortments across all channels.
- Create all associated tech packs, handing them off to the technical design team in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Design teams in creating graphics for specific silhouettes.
- Determine graphic, techniques, colors, layouts, scale and placement.
- Actively participate in design brainstorming sessions and design critiques.
- Design and develop labels, hangtags, etc. on apparel.
- Ensure product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy.
- Receive submits and issue comments to cross functional partners.
- Analyze graphic trends and competitive positions to ensure Southern Tide assortment meets the consumer and retailer needs.
- Execute CAD development for line presentations.
- Process and manage multiple requests, seeing each project through to completion, always delivering a high-quality product on time.
- Work closely with Design team to surface challenges early and troubleshoot.
- Develop solid relationships with internal and external cross functional counterparts to ensure clear, efficient communication throughout the development process.
- Perform/support day to day graphic development and communicate with the vendor base.
- Support the corporate calendar and processes to ensure quality and on time delivery for both sales samples and bulk production.
- Clearly present graphic designs to retail accounts, account managers and sales representatives.
- Ensure that production-ready files are prepared for inclusion in tech packs.

Know the ropes...
- 4-year degree (or equivalent and relevant experience) in graphic design or related program preferred.
- Generally, 4 years’ experience in apparel graphic design.
- Proficient with Adobe Suite.
- Strong presentation skills.
