SBH is seeking a qualified individual who will be responsible for providing administrative leadership as part of the management team with the Director of Clinical Services. This exempt (FLSA) position manages and leads a comprehensive system of Mental Health Case Management, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Permanent Supportive Housing for adults of Halifax, Mecklenburg, and Brunswick counties. This position also oversees the management of HUD properties associated with Southside Behavioral Health. This position focuses on person-centered mental health support, recovery outcomes, quality assurance, and integration of services in the community. The position collaborates with the Director of Clinical Services on program budgets, grants, progress, and outcomes and provides leadership to ensure that program regulations and expectations are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Director of Clinical Services in coordinating and implementing community mental health services for adults.
- Provides direct supervision to assigned lead case managers, community support program supervisors, and permanent supportive housing coordinator.
- Conducts probationary and annual performance evaluations on subordinate staff, and submits material to Human Resources promptly.
- Provides leadership that reinforces a treatment team approach with a person-centered focus.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Services and Financial Department in the implementation and monitoring of program budgets.
- Completes casework review activities, including chart reviews and chart audits, to ensure that services comply with documentation requirements for client services, per DBHDS Performance Contract, Department of Medical Assistance Services regulations, legislation, and agency policies and procedures.
- Conducts routine site visits for quality assurance reviews of programs to ensure documentation and practice is accurate and in compliance, and reports results to the Director of Clinical Services.
Qualifications
- Master’s of Social Work or related human service field
- QMHP-A required.
- LCSW, LPC, or LMFC preferred
- A minimum of one year experience supervising staff in the provision of mental health/substance use services required.
- Minimum of three years direct care experience in working with the severely mentally ill (SMI) and/or intellectually/developmentally disabled population preferred.
- Must meet all criminal background and drug screening requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, required.
