Job Description | Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) offers career-training programs in numerous technical, industrial and medical fields at a reasonable cost, going so far as to even waive tuition for certain eligible students. Located in Richlands, Virginia, SWCC offers associate's degrees in such fields as business, education, general studies, liberal arts and science. These degrees are primarily intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. SWCC also has associate degrees that feature programs intended to lead directly to a career in fields such as Nursing, Radiography and Administration of Justice. Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking an individual to serve as Administrative Assistant for the Workforce and Continuing Education Division. This position is the first point of contact for the Division and provides administrative and clerical support and works directly with students, faculty, and staff. This position will receive direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence and ensure follow-up in a responsible time and will also be responsible for entry of training curriculum into WES, WES interface updates, tracking grants, reporting on training completed, assisting participates with class registration, and development and circulation of outreach materials and outreach efforts. This position will also assist the Workforce team as needed on various tasks. Additional job duties include but are not limited to:
