Job Title: Registered Nurse, RN, Telemetry / PCU
Job Type: PRN Tier II (Minimum 1 shift/week, 2 weekend shifts/month, 2 holidays/year- min. 1 major)
***Must have at least 18 months RN hospital experience***

Department/Unit Summary
5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day, 5A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio. We serve the general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions. The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing, and observation patients. We take care of patients with comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal and psychiatric issues. While caring for our patients is the focus, 5A boasts a strong team environment, improved nurse communication and a commitment to SOVAH Health's core values.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include:
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support
· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required, or obtained within six (6) months of hire
