Summary Description:
The Quality Supervisor in the foundry environment will oversee the quality control processes for all castings produced, ensuring they meet both internal and external standards for quality, safety, and compliance. The role is responsible for supervising the quality control team, ensuring the effective execution of inspection and testing processes, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve any quality-related issues.

Essential Functions
Supervise and lead the quality control team to ensure all casting products meet established specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the foundry processes, materials, and final products to verify adherence to quality standards.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures and documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and corrective action plans.
Oversee the preparation and execution of various quality tests, such as visual inspections, dimensional checks, hardness tests, X-ray, and other nondestructive testing (NDT) methods.
Coordinate with the production team to address any quality concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement.
Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies during all quality control processes.
Provide training and mentorship to quality inspectors and other team members to enhance skills and knowledge in quality procedures and standards.
Review and approve inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation.
Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to management, identifying potential areas for improvement.
Assist in the development and improvement of foundry processes, contributing to overall efficiency and product quality.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet quality standards and specifications before they enter the production process.
Required Education and Experience:
Science/engineering or related discipline
2 years of experience in a foundry or industrial facility
Proficiency with MS Office and experience using quality control software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in quality control or quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma).
Experience with castings in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery.
Working Conditions/Physical Conditions:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
