We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Analyst for a contract position. This role will perform a variety of professional duties in support of human resources management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of HR principles, and experience working with HRIS systems, specifically Workday. This position requires the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Essential Job Functions :
- Manages position control processes, including tracking position history, requests for new positions, and changes to existing positions.
- Creates and updates positions within the HRIS system based on authorized budgeted positions. Reviews and processes requisitions, ensuring consistency and appropriateness of position titles.
- Posts open positions to meet organizational goals and requirements.
- Maintains current job descriptions for all positions, ensuring qualifications are appropriate, job-related, and consistent. Works with managers to periodically review and revise job descriptions.
- Submits data to the appropriate reporting center for all newly hired or rehired employees.
- Runs queries and reports from the HRIS system for organizational needs.
- Assists in the collection, preparation, and review of data for reports.
- Processes personnel actions within the HRIS database, reflecting changes in employee status such as salary changes, transfers, and promotions.
- Maintains and processes confidential and sensitive information.
- Prepares reports related to salary and pay grades.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for the HRIS system, participating in user acceptance testing, reporting system defects, and recreating problems in the test environment.
- Assists with a variety of special projects.
- Administers the employee referral process, tracking and processing bonuses.
- Arranges travel and lodging for selected candidates when appropriate.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and other relevant meetings.
- Develops and produces correspondence for applicants and candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Revises and maintains organizational charts.
- Performs job analysis and classification studies; compiles salary administration survey data.
- Monitors and interprets federal, state, and local laws related to Human Resources, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Manages records in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
