What You Will Do:
Network Segmentation & Security:
- Develop and implement detailed network and application segmentation strategies to align with security best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Design and configure VLANs, subnets, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce granular segmentation policies.
- Implement and manage micro-segmentation solutions to protect sensitive data and critical applications.
- Optimize firewall rules and policies in collaboration with the Firewall Team to strengthen network defenses.
Infrastructure & Risk Management:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IOS, multiple routing protocols, wireless protocols (LWAPP), VPN, perimeter security, and Layer 3 content switching to support robust segmentation.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate segmentation gaps.
Access Control & Collaboration:
- Manage and enforce access controls within network and application segments, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
- Work closely with Network Infrastructure, Server Services, Firewall Team, and IT Security to define and implement segmentation requirements.
- Document network segmentation designs, configurations, and procedures for ongoing support and reference.
What You Bring to the Team:
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience.
- Certifications: CCNA required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 7-10 years of IT experience, preferably in a healthcare or enterprise environment.
- Certifications: CCNP or other equivalent senior-level certifications.
