What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer position at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group?

Teksystems has a client in the Upstate, SC area that needs to add a Network Engineer to their team. the role is 100% on-site and is slated as a 6 month contract to hire.
Currently, it's a team of three is responsible for supporting the infrastructure in
these distribution centers and sites, including the compute environment,
network environment, servers/systems, routers/switches, access points, phone
systems, workstations, etc. They need to bring on a Network Engineer as
a net new addition. The manager is currently handling much of this work, and
they need someone solely focused on network engineering for the organization.
Day-to-day, this person will be responsible for tasks such as upgrading,
patching, ensuring everything runs smoothly, monitoring, maintaining correct
code levels, security patching, etc. They use all Cisco products, including
Firepower, UCS chassis, Call Manager, Cisco SD-WAN, ISE, and the full collaboration
suite. The network spans 5 locations, 250 servers, and 700-800 nodes. They aim
to script everything. Experience in data center networking, particularly with
Cisco 9k's and fiber channel switching, would be very helpful.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
