*Description*
TEKsystems' Pharma client is seeking a strong, driven
Network Engineer to join their team. The Spartanburg, South Carolina-based drug
wholesale company has recently grown and acquired several additional pharmacies
and distribution centers across the US. They support 23 pharmacies and have 5
distribution centers located in AR, VT, GA, OH, and SC.
Currently, a team of three is responsible for supporting the infrastructure in
these distribution centers and pharmacies, including the compute environment,
network environment, servers/systems, routers/switches, access points, phone
systems, workstations, etc. They need to bring on a Senior Network Engineer as
a net new addition. The manager is currently handling much of this work, and
they need someone solely focused on network engineering for the organization.
Day-to-day, this person will be responsible for tasks such as upgrading,
patching, ensuring everything runs smoothly, monitoring, maintaining correct
code levels, security patching, etc. They use all Cisco products, including
Firepower, UCS chassis, Call Manager, Cisco SD-WAN, ISE, and the full collaboration
suite. The network spans 5 locations, 250 servers, and 700-800 nodes. They aim
to script everything. A background in data center networking, particularly with
Cisco 9k's and fiber channel switching, would be very helpful.
