The Spaulding Center is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for 50 adults in Southern York County through programs, community outreach services, and social activities that promote engagement, wellness, and connection. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team and help us fulfill our mission.
**Job Summary:**
The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing community outreach and engagement initiatives that foster relationships between the Spaulding Center for Active Living and the local community. This role involves collaborating with our sponsors, organizing programs/events, and promoting programs that enhance the well-being of members.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
1. **Community Outreach:**
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to promote the Spaulding Center's programs and community outreach services.
- Conduct outreach activities to engage members, ensuring they are informed about available resources.
2. **Program Development:**
- Collaborate with Executive Director and staff to design and implement community programs that address the needs and interests of seniors.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements based on feedback and community needs.
3. **Event Planning and Fundraising:**
- Organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote engagement and social interaction among members and the community at large.
- Manage logistics for events, including venue selection, marketing, and volunteer coordination.
4. **Marketing and Communications:**
- Create promotional materials and utilize social media, newsletters, and local media to raise awareness of the Spaulding Center's programs, workshops, events and fundraisers.
- Develop content and production of the Spaulding Center's monthly digital newsletter.
- Maintain the Spaulding Center's membership database to ensure member's information is current.
- Support Executive Director with marketing strategy and execution.
- Create marketing collateral for Spaulding Center membership and volunteer brochures, sponsorship packages.
- Solicit sponsorships for newsletter and fundraising events as determined by Executive Director.
6. **Volunteer Management:**
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with supporting the Center's daily receptionist shifts, community outreach programs and fundraisers/events.
- Foster a positive volunteer environment that encourages participation and retention.
**Qualifications:**
-- Experience working with older adults and knowledge of issues affecting the aging population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
- Proven ability to organize events and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Passion for community service and a commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults.
**Compensation:**
Salary will range from $45,000-$50,000. Benefit package includes health insurance stipend, paid time off, paid federal holidays and matching retirement contribution.
