Location: Vancouver, WA

Work Type: Onsite, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 DOE (Depends on Experience)

Reports to: Director of Operations and Quality Assurance Manager

SRG has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Vancouver, WA, seeking a talented, self-motivated, and innovative Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a team-focused leader who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and is passionate about developing quality systems, driving process improvements, and collaborating across departments to ensure the highest production standards.



Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS) at the Vancouver, WA facility. This role ensures compliance with organizational strategy, customer expectations, and industry standards while minimizing quality-related costs.

This position requires both strategic system development and tactical problem-solving expertise to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems Development & Implementation

  • Implement and develop new quality processes and systems at the Vancouver manufacturing facility.
  • Design and implement a facility-based QMS aligned with organizational strategy and peer facilities.
  • Document and standardize quality procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Establish and manage:
  • Factory control plans to maintain consistent production quality.
  • Supplier evaluation and monitoring to ensure incoming material quality.
  • Process output monitoring to track and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) systems to reduce recurring quality issues.
  • Customer and product use analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Surveillance testing and audit programs for compliance and process verification.
  • Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and approvals for new product introductions or supply chain changes.


Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with department leads (e.g., Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to drive a quality-focused culture.
  • Train and onboard new employees on quality procedures to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Provide technical quality support to Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to drive quality initiatives and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Report QMS performance and emerging risks to senior management for strategic decision-making.


Quality Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify and resolve quality cost and risk contributors.
  • Drive full issue resolution using data-driven problem-solving methods.
  • Develop quality metrics and reporting structures to measure and track improvement efforts.


Failure Analysis & Product Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct internal failure analysis and customer failure tracking to identify patterns and improve reliability.
  • Resolve customer complaints and field product performance issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare and communicate Failure Analysis Reports for internal teams, customers, and regulatory bodies.


Qualifications & Experience

Education & Technical Expertise

  • Exceptional experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical manufacturing industries is required.
  • An engineering degree is a major plus.
  • ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQM (Certified Quality Manager) designation is preferred.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Experience in implementing and standardizing quality procedures and training teams.


Technology Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP for quality management and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs for data analysis.


Additional Considerations

  • Experience with UL, CSA, or equivalent product certification processes is a plus.
  • Onsite role; must be available to work Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 DOE (Depends on Experience).
