What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Spectrum Contracting?
Responsibilities:
- Weekly credit card reconciliations
- Temporary labor reconciliations (2 companies, each with a different process); ultimately, this requires tracking time for temporary field workers, job costing their time, and entering AP invoices for this time
- Intercompany journal entries and reconciliations (2 companies)
- Some AP including:
- Large monthly fuel bill reconciliation
- Large monthly vehicle lease billing
- Backup for various accounting functions (payroll time entry, check run preparations, AP entry)
- Annual tangible tax returns (2 companies)
- Future responsibilities could include equipment accounting and monthly sales/use tax return.
Qualifications:
- Needs to have solid Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel and Outlook. Pivot Table knowledge a big plus.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
