Job Summary
The Customer Relations Consultant will be a main point of contact for current and potential customers in regards to their shipping needs while positively representing the company.
Hours and Wages
- Exempt salary position
- Starting wage : $70,000 - $92,500 based on relevant years of experience, education, certifications, and comparison to other employees already in this role
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary point of contact for potential and current customers regarding their shipping needsDevelop and follow up on new customer leadsConflict resolution for escalated concerns / complaints from customers regarding shippingKnowledge of rules and regulations regarding tobacco, firearms, alcohol, and other freight that may have federal guidelinesCoordinate with the Operations department to help improve customer satisfaction and resolve shipping issuesAttend and participate in trade shows, marketing and sales events, and forumsTrain and guide the Operations departments in regards to helping support and find new sales leadsExtensive travel is requiredPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExtensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principlesPublic speaking skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to solve problems and resolve conflicts while maintaining a professional and calm demeanorProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareEducation and Experience
At least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's degree in Sales, Marketing, or other related field preferred3 years of sales and / or marketing experience preferredHold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standardsPhysical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phoneMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesAbility to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animalsBenefits
