The Regional Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
This position is responsible for overseeing the overall management of multiple centers in Central Kentucky in a designated region including financial management, patient care, risk management, quality assurance compliance, operational management and teammate management. The Regional Director provides leadership and direction to assure safe, efficient, ethical patient care and positive teammate relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs Facility Administrators in accomplishing Spero Health’s strategic goals and key initiatives.
- Models and teaches Mission, Vision, Values of Spero Health
- Manage key operating metrics: both clinical, financial and team.
- Formulate regional budget of overall operational expenses in accordance with Spero Health policies.
- Review, authorize and monitor expenditure reports in accordance with company policy and procedure.
- Prepare and submit exceptions to budgetary compliance to COO.
- Develop and maintain an open line of communication with Facility administrators and teammates through teammate meetings or written communication.
- Ensure high degree of patient satisfaction and positive morale with teammates
- Maintain a liaison relationship between the regional team and the corporate team and assures that all reasonable requests from corporate team for reports, center visits and other interactions are completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure prompt corrective action is implemented with cost, safety and patient care as priorities for the facilities, equipment and systems.
- Ensure that each center meets all internal and external Standards of Conduct as well as all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that appropriate state and federal agency compliance is reported. (i.e. Medicaid, State Licensing Boards, etc.).
- Ensure the creation and implementation of any corrective action needed as a result of internal or external quality assurance, Medicaid, OSHA, or other governing agency audit (CARF).
- Ensure compliance with state Worker Compensation and OSHA safety training requirements.
- Oversee design and construction of new facilities and expansions/renovations.
- Participate with due diligence team for potential acquisitions either within or outside the division or the region.
- Oversee the transitional process of new acquisitions either within or outside the division or the region.
- Understand and follow Spero Health patient and employment policies and procedures.
- Moderate to heavy travel (approx. 75%).
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience required in management (healthcare, business or military) or equivalent behavioral health experience
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in healthcare required
