What are the responsibilities and job description for the COLLECTIONS ASSOCIATE position at Spherion?
This position requires knowledge of several AI platforms used in the maintenance of accounts
and communication with customers. The ability to work in multiple software systems at any time
and perform clerical and other office related duties as assigned. Cross training and peer support
is an integral function in the department. This position requires direct and consistent
communication with the department manager.
Responsibilities :
- Creating and maintaining credit history files.
- Analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of accounts with credit manager.
- Supporting the collection efforts / calls for accounts receivable portfolio.
- Documenting daily collections activity.
- Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies.
- Performing account and payment reconciliations.
- Responding to credit inquiries from customers.
- Identifying delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
- Apply Hazmat credit memos.
- Assist customers with their payments through various methods; cash, credit card, ACH,
check / CHAX, IVR, and through the company website / web portal.
Working hours : 8 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM
Skills :
Experience in the same or similar job is prefferred.
Education : No Degree Required
Experience : 1-4 years
Qualifications :
Experienced in collections, customer service, and AI systems. Excellent communication
abilities, and analytical skills. Self-motivator with a strong work ethic who strives to achieve
goals and takes pride in work output.
