Job Summary:
Spherion is seeking a skilled Seed Processing Operator to join our team. As a Seed Processing Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all conditioning runs meet customer quality requirements while maximizing the total number of units bagged from each run.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform work activities safely
Accurately mix seed treatment chemicals to ensure proper seed coverage
Utilize computers to record and locate information as needed
Operate seed conditioning equipment according to instructions, including taking and documenting quality checks and activity as required
Apply appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages as applicable
Accurate bagged seed inventory counts
Thoroughly clean all equipment between conditioning runs in order to maintain product integrity
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
Some forklift operations as needed
Requirements:
1-4 years of experience in a warehouse setting with knowledge of seed treating equipment preferred
Ability to lift and stack materials up to 68 lbs. for extended periods of time
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to read/write in English
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime
