SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Reconcile accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of accounting software or process improvements.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA certification (preferred but not required).
- EOD Required
