Role Purpose - Finance inSpirax Sarco
This role is a critical member of the Senior Executive team leading theexecution of the company's vision, advancement, and commercial growth strategy.
This role is part of the USA Executive Team and reports directly to theGeneral Manager & President of Sales. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the USAOpCo and Americas Division of Steam Thermal Solution, Americas Division. As amember of the USA Executive team, this role will drive forward the shift andinvestment in cultural change as we make Spirax Sarco USA a great place towork.
You will be a key player inbringing Finance Business Partner support, articulating & implementing theCustomer First2 strategy, and supporting the Sales organization to makecommercially sound decisions that will boost our growth. You will also take thelead in any strategic or improvement projects that fall within your scope ofrole.

Key Aspects of the Role
- Strategic Finance Advice and Support to the USA GM and SLT : Partnering with senior management team and working closely with the GM to support the business goals; development of insightful reporting & articulation of opportunities, supporting business development and leading internal efficiency projects or business opportunities.
- Leading the Finance Profession : Leading Finance to ensure the provision of necessary financial services and resources to achieve current and future business objectives, control, and business integrity. Provide training, guidance and lead continuous improvement across the Finance function with a focus on talent development, to continually improve the quality and capabilities of the function. Lead the Shared Service finance organization, ensuring good collaboration and high-quality service levels with Supply partners.
- Articulation and business case for Company services / ERP : Strong contribution and leadership of thinking to support the implementation of the common ERP platforms through Project Zenith, and other shared back-office processes.
- Performance Reporting & Management of the Business Planning Process : Develop and operate systems that provide analysis and interpretation of performance information, provide clarity on business performance. Ensure integrity, accuracy, reliability and timeliness. Lead and improve the forecasting process.
- Decision Support : Advise and challenge on interpretation of information, facilitate timely and accurate decision making on business operations and investments.
- Supporting business improvement initiatives : Active involvement in operational issues, ensuring decisions are optimized to improve profitability. Monitor overhead spend to identify issues, trends and actions needed to address. Increase focus on cash flow and working capital metrics and behaviors. Validate all significant business investment proposals (capex and opex) including special projects and significant commercial opportunities and contracts.
- Internal controls improvement : Function as the sponsor for governance and internal controls, by setting the tone and expectations, drive action to address weaknesses and to close off internal audit findings.
