What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detox Coordinator position at Spirit Life, Inc.?
The Detox Coordinator is responsible for monitoring clients, assisting with clinical interventions, case coordination and discharge planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Orient new clients to unit and program.
- Contacting all referrals, SCA’s, and legal agencies upon admission.
- Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and outside providers.
- Ensure proper documentation is in the chart, including all necessary consents.
- Assist the clients with discharge planning and setting up appointments.
- Obtain PO approval for MAT referrals.
- Place clients on the phone and/or computer to apply for Medicaid services.
- Maintain communication with client’s family members and referral sources.
- Assist clients with obtaining continuances on court hearings.
- Run groups and community meetings.
- Accompany and transport clients for court or other appointments as assigned.
- Complete inter-facility reports on any unusual incidents or occurrences with clients as needed.
- Maintain safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
- Attend regular scheduled mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
- Adhere to SpiritLife’s Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedures manual
- Administer drug/alcohol screening test.
- Assist the RA staff as needed, including client monitoring, 30-minute headcounts/room checks.
- Maintain a neat and clean environment for the clients and keep the detox lounge stocked.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.45 per hour
