Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including AR, AP, payroll and general ledger.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and timely reporting of financial results.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to any future accounting team members.
- Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights to management.
- Support other departments with financial reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in tax preparation and financial audits is a plus.
