What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist position at SPOONER HEALTH?
The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Public Relations & Marketing and plays a key role in marketing, volunteer coordination, event management, and grant coordination, as well as providing administrative support for the Volunteers of Spooner Health group and overseeing the gift shop. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent writing abilities, and a marketing background.
- Assist with social media, website content, campaign development, and recruitment campaigns.
- Coordinate the gift shop, including volunteer management, budgeting, ordering, and inventory.
- Provide administrative support and communication for the Volunteers group.
- Plan and organize the Volunteers group annual luncheon and meeting.
- Research grant opportunities, write applications, and track/report progress.
- Assist with event planning for both on- and off-campus events, including the annual golf outing.
- Edit internal and external documents, update signage, and create marketing materials (e.g., business cards, brochures).
- Advocate for health literacy and ensure Spooner Health’s brand image is consistently upheld.
- Actively participate in team meetings and mandatory in-services.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and medical teams.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace culture.
- Exhibit flexibility and a commitment to Spooner Health’s excellence.
Qualifications:
- Strong written communication skills, with experience in content writing.
- Prior marketing experience and familiarity with social media, website management, and grant writing is preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
