Sporting Kansas City’s Contract Manager is responsible for preparing, reviewing, revising, and managing all contracts that Sporting Kansas City and affiliated entities are negotiating and entering, and ensuring best practices regarding permits and renewals are followed.This position is to be a key contributor to the Legal Department team while ensuring all work is consistent with the Sporting Kansas City brand purpose: “We create memories through personalized experiences with our Club.”

Job Description
Essential Functions
- Prepare, revise, and manage contracts and other legal documents necessary to facilitate diverse transactions involving the Club, including sponsorship agreements, special events, corporate partners and with Season Ticket Members.
- Assist in managing business, alcohol, and other licensing permits for Sporting Kansas City and affiliate organizations.
- Support the various internal departments in contract negotiations with outside parties, vendors, and partners.
- Assist and support the General counsel with Sporting Kansas City’s internal contract drafting, cataloging and maintenance.
- Provide advice and guidance to Sporting Kansas City internal teams relating to contract generation.
- Maintain correspondence and documentation related to contracts.
- Communicate and present information to stakeholders regarding contracts.
- Monitor contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension, or renewal of contracts, in partnership with key partners from Sporting Kansas City internal teams.
- Assist the General Counsel with licensing agreements, intellectual property protection, compliance, risk management and staff trainings. .
- Serve as a primary point of contact for contract drafting and contract renewals.
- Continually create unique strategies, ideas and programs as a means of improving Sporting Kansas City’s contract tracking and database.
- Attend Sporting Kansas City home games, as well as non-soccer related events.
- Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Match Day Responsibilities
- Full-time associates act as representatives of Sporting Kansas City at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a legal or business field or a legal-related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of contract administration or contract management experience.
- Experience negotiating or drafting contract details or procurement on behalf of a for-profit organization.
- Demonstrated ability to establish solid business relationships.
- Solid understanding of legal terminology.
- Previous experience working with contracts, regulatory and risk management is preferred.
- Superior reading, writing, and language skills.
- Fluency to speak, read, and write in the English language in order to clearly communicate with Sporting Kansas City associates, vendors, partners, and fans.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
