Job Summary:
Sportsman Boats is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce high-quality components used in our premium boats. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CNC programming, machine operations, and working with composite or metal materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to meet production requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to create accurate machine instructions.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot errors, and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and CNC machines to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machine setup.
- Experience working with composite materials, aluminum, or other boat-building materials is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
