CNC Programmer

Job Summary:

Sportsman Boats is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce high-quality components used in our premium boats. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CNC programming, machine operations, and working with composite or metal materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to meet production requirements
• Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality standards are met
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to create accurate machine instructions
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot errors, and make necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and efficiency
• Maintain tools, equipment, and CNC machines to ensure longevity and reliability
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machine setup
• Experience working with composite materials, aluminum, or other boat-building materials is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
