What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher/Floater position at Spring Garden Preschool?
Spring Garden Preschool, a ministry of State Street United Methodist Church, has an immediate job opening for a Teacher Assistant/Floater.
The terms of employment are as follows: part time hours, 5 days per week, hours from 8:40am-1:10pm and Tuesday/Thursday 8:40am-4:00pm but need flexibility and availability for working early care arriving at 7:20am and late stay working till 4:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
Qualifications included a high school graduate; CDA preferred, but not required; training and/or experience with children in an early childhood setting; ability to work well with children and adults; CPR/First Aid trained or willing to be trained and willing to meet requirements of 12 hours of continuing education per year.
Responsibilities include assisting with Lead Teacher’s classroom curriculum, serving as Lead Teacher in their absence, assisting with classroom activities, and flexiblity for working hours when needed for early/late stay program.
