As an accounts payable clerk, you will process and maintain incoming vendor invoices for accounts payable to ensure timely payment. This candidate will also maintain records of business transactions and data while performing a variety of clerical duties within the department. As an accounts payable clerk, you will process and maintain incoming vendor invoices for accounts payable to ensure timely payment. This candidate will also maintain records of business transactions and data while performing a variety of clerical duties within the department. Requirements
Responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable packages. This includes matching invoices to packing slips and purchase orders prior to approval for payment.
- Utilize accounting software to process and print weekly accounts payable checks
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Update and maintain a variety of excel schedules
- Answer as well as transfer phone calls on a multi-line phone system
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
- Knowledge of AP concepts and practices preferred
- Minimum of 2 years office experience
- Minimum of 2 years data entry
- Minimum of 2 years answering multi-line telephone system
- Minimum of 2 years proficient use of 10-key calculator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Highly organized with motivation to learn new things
- Good communication skills
- Attendance is a priority.
