Injection Molding Mold Setter
Location: Putnam, CT
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up molds in large industrial injection molding machines.
- Assemble and install components such as barrels, screws, nozzles, and tips.
- Perform testing and dry runs to ensure proper operation and identify potential leaks.
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including safety bars, switches, and alarms.
- Tear down machines, inspect molds for damage, and remove water lines and clamps.
- Perform machine cleanouts, maintenance, and repair (e.g., hoses, guards).
- Order mold setup supplies as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in mechanical/maintenance work within a manufacturing environment involving large industrial injection molding machines.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of exerting 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and over 60 lbs. occasionally.

Pay: $25.41 - $26.34 per hour
