Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front of House Manager. As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining experience for our guests. This includes managing the front-of-house staff, FOH scheduling, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a smooth operation.
Duties:
- Supervise and train front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, support staff, and bartenders
- Ensure that all guests are greeted and seated promptly
- Oversee the reservation system and manage table assignments with our host team
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure efficient service and address any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
- Handle customer complaints or inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
- Manage inventory of supplies, such as menus, napkins, and condiments
- Coordinate with catering department for special events or private parties
Skills:
- Strong background in food service management and customer service
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Experience with kitchen management systems such as Toast POS
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
