Spyglass Talent Solutions is a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC. Our firm has been engaged by a commercial subcontractor to conduct a confidential search for an HR Manager.
Reporting to the Controller, the HR Manager will play a versatile role, adapting to various responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment. We are looking for a skilled HR professional to lead all aspects of human resources, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and talent management. This position is essential in cultivating a positive workplace culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving company growth through strategic HR initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage payroll processing, benefits enrollment, workers' compensation claims and payroll taxes.
- Review and approve invoices and manage benefits related audits
- Create and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Oversee hiring processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Ensure company policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Handle employee concerns, disputes, and performance issues while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Exercises sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive employee relations matters, balancing business needs with empathy and fairness.
- Develop and implement training programs for safety, leadership, and skill development.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure adequate workforce levels, compliance with special requirements and distribution of payroll-related reports.
- Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring fair hiring and employment practices.
- Oversee performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of HR experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
