The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to department policies and deadlines. This position will ensure the needs of the department are met and will work closely with the Accounting Department and the Operations team.
Job Description:
- Ensures quality and quantity of all transactions are fulfilled according to company standards.
- Perform Accounts Payable functions including entering, tracking data for all invoices assigned.
- Reconcile monthly statements and related transactions to vendor accounts
- Research and resolve any outstanding balances on vendor accounts
- Follow-up internally and externally on invoices and credits
- Communicate with vendors by telephone, mail or email, resolving a variety of routine inquiries concerning account status, and communicating resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
- Ensures quality and quantity of all transactions are fulfilled according to company standards.
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years in Accounts Payable
- Experience with Yardi is preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven capabilities with Microsoft Office
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Maintain a positive professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to work both independently and within team
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
