Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Golf Course Pro Shop Assistant to our General Manager to join our team beginning with the 2025 seasonal period mid-February until late November. The position requires working various hours and shifts during the golf season, including weekends. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate must have the ability to engage customers effectively while managing employees and other golf course transactions. Benefits include play privileges, meals and discounts on merchandise. The ideal candidate will assist in following tasks related to our Pro Shop:
Responsibilities
- Engage effectively with customers and managers of various leagues and events.
- Assist with hiring personnel for various Pro Shop positions.
- Train and manage Pro Shop, Kitchen and Cart Attendants.
- Be able to fill in all necessary positions when necessary.
- Scheduling employees weekly on website scheduling system.
- Evaluating inventory and ordering weekly golf snack bar supplies and golf Pro Shop merchandise.
- Evaluating and managing tee sheet reservation system on a continued basis to assure proper regular, league and event play.
Requirements
- Previous experience in managing or assisting a manager preferred.
- Proactive attitude toward maintaining high customer service level.
- Strong understanding of golf course industry.
- Proficient computer and technical skills - familiarity with excel/word, tee sheet management software and POS/app software.
- Excellent phone etiquette skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in an occasional fast-paced, stressful environment and adapt to constant change.
- Willingness to learn and assist in various Pro Shop support tasks where needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Requires manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
