WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (BFPC) is a paraprofessional support person whose main goal is to provide breastfeeding information, support and encouragement to WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Education Required

High School diploma or GED preferred

  • License / Certification / Registration(s) Required

    • None

  • Experience / Skills Required
  • A minimum of six months of breastfeeding experience. Not required to be currently breastfeeding.
  • Is enthusiastic about breastfeeding and wants to help other mothers enjoy a positive experience.
  • Bilingual ( English and Spanish), preferred
