Position Overview:
Provides program leadership, manages operations, and supervises all assigned aspects of the agency’s prevention programs, including a team of prevention staff. As a member of the Prevention leadership team, shares responsibility for daily operations of the department, and works under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Prevention Services.

Requirements:
- Ability to work: Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm w/ flexibility as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience required. Prior supervisory experience in prevention/human services or relatable field is preferred.
- A Clean and Valid New York State Driver’s License (actively licensed one year) required.
- Staff in driving positions must meet minimum requirements of our agency’s insurance policy for authorized drivers; including, but not limited to the minimum age of 21 at time of hire.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team member, while setting a precedent as a leader.
- Solid computer applications knowledge/use: Microsoft Office Suite; Google Business Workspace Suite; & use secure Internet practices.
- Understanding of developmental disabilities as well as mental health and substance abuse difficulties; Experience working with families facing such issues.
- Knowledge of community resources and how to access them to eliminate social barriers.
- Ability to pass background check, including fingerprinting.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Supervise staff of assigned Prevention team and hold regular supervision (1:1) and group meetings to support prevention personnel, while maintaining staffing requirements.
- Ensure quality documentation standards are met and are submitted within required timeline.
- Advocate for the programs and clients with community agencies, landlords, ACDCYF, Social Security, etc.
- Oversee Team-lead requirements for conferences for families in assigned team.
- Promote interdependency across the agency’s service areas, including direct collaboration with other community, homeless, and health-based services, to ensure that the programs are interlinked in the support provided to children and families.
- Ensure adequate level of service provision for each family in all assigned team/caseload.
- Serve on community committees, as requested by the Director.
- In conjunction with the management team, participate in the development and accomplishment of the agency’s Strategic Plan.
- Participate in the agency’s Residential QRTP Aftercare Committee. Take an active leadership role in the agency’s design of residential aftercare, with an end-goal of a proven, successful aftercare paradigm.
- Provide ongoing support for the agency’s residential case managers, to problem-solve aftercare and family concerns.
- Take on additional position-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Prevention Services.
