Responsibilities
The Transition to Practice Educator provides educational support, training, and mentoring to new nurses in the clinical area. This role ensures a smooth transition to practice by coordinating unit-based support, resources, and follow-up during and after orientation.
The educator will serve as a clinical liaison between education and clinical managers/coordinators to facilitate timely release from orientation. They will assess needs and performance in real-time, addressing targeted knowledge and skill deficits through available resources.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
- A Current BLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 2 years acute care experience in Behavioral Health.
- Minimum of 1 year preceptor experience.
- BSN preferred.
