Job Description
The Vice President of Community, Culture, and Institutional Climate provides transformative leadership in fostering an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for all students, faculty, staff, and community members. This position aligns institutional efforts with the college’s mission, values, and strategic goals, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Affirmative Action, Title IX, and other civil rights laws. This role serves as the College Diversity Officer, 1B.1 and 1B.3 Designated Officer, Affirmative Action Officer, Bias Incident Response Lead, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
Salary Range: $93,713 to $149,940 per year
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of three years of leadership experience in access, equity, and inclusion.
- Proven experience in policy compliance and institutional climate improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead training and development programs.
- Knowledge of Affirmative Action, Title IX, and other applicable state and federal labor and employment laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in higher education administration.
- Familiarity with National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) standards.
- Experience working in unionized and non-unionized environments.
- Certified or trained as Title IX Coordinator, Investigator, Decision Maker, or other applicable role by a certifying entity (ATIXA, Minn State, etc.).
Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
