Summary

St. George Catholic Church in Odessa, MO and St. Jude Catholic Church in Oak Grove, MO is seeking a part time bookkeeper who will be responsible for the financial records for the two parishes. This position is part time 15-20 hours a week and will split time between St. George and St. Jude parishes.

Essential Functions

• Create and track the budget throughout the year.
• Prepare budget reports for the finance council and the parish.
• Prepare the annual Diocesan Spirituality report.
• Process all bills for the parish.
• Process all parish donations.
• Prepares and distributes all end of the year giving reports.
• Track and schedule all parish maintenance.
• Research new parish services as needed (ex: phone, internet, etc.).
• Oversee parish hall rentals and coordinates the use of other physical spaces needed for the mission of our parish.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial transactions.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping.
• Intermediate skill level using Quick Books.
• Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
