Patient Scheduler

We are seeking a Patient Scheduler to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for scheduling and managing patient appointments for primary care services.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as necessary.
• Maintain and update appointments based on medical service providers' availability, and maintain contact with patients, notifying them of any scheduling changes.
• Follow-up with patients who are out of care to schedule appointments.
• Perform live webchat with patients.
• Perform essential work within Electronic Health Record system and program data entry systems with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.
• Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations
• Communicate in a culturally competent and effective manner to clients/caregivers regarding the services available.
• Other tasks/duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Scheduling or Administrative experience - 2 years minimum of proven history in the medical field
• Experience working in primary care or family practice setting.
• Good keyboard skills - 35 wpm
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Detailed oriented and organized.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Insurance verification experience is a plus.
  
  

Working Conditions

• The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required.
