Job Description
St. John Neumann Catholic Parish in Miami, Florida is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Human Resources Coordinator to join our team (full-time). This position plays a vital role in managing the financial and human resources operations of our parish, ensuring that our mission to overcrowd heaven is supported with sound stewardship and care for our employees.We are a parish rooted in prayer, teamwork, and discipleship, committed to building a Christ-centered community where every ministry thrives. The ideal candidate will not only bring strong accounting and HR skills but also a heart for service and a desire to support the spiritual and operational needs of the parish. The Bookkeeper and HR Coordinator performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, and manage accounts payable/ receivable.
Assist in budget preparation, financial reporting, and parish audits.
Oversee HR functions, including employee benefits, personnel records, and compliance with Archdiocesan policies.
Collaborate with parish leadership and ministries to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and human resources (parish or nonprofit experience a plus).
Good English communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Commitment to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
Must have a professional demeanor.
