Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow/Salt Truck Operator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring safe and accessible commercial properties during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience in commercial snow and ice management, experience with various power tools, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. We plow and salt any winter precipitation hours can be 6 to 15 hours per event with the average 10 hours. Can train the right self motivated individual.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on snow plow vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery in adverse weather conditions.
  • Punctuality
  • Ability to clock in and out of site with phone and send emails with pictures of sites.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Ability to operate and not limited to wheel loaders, skid steers, trucks, and tractors with snow pushers, blowers, v-plows, and hydraulic wing plows

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating snow plow equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
  • Familiarity with tree care practices, hardscape maintenance, and general landscaping techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to work in harsh weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as required.
  • Valid Drivers License (Class A Preferred) and DOT Health Card
  • After the snow season this position can turn into a lawn and landscaping position or an equipment operator/truck driver position.
