What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitutes for School position at St. Johnsbury School District?
St. Johnsbury School District is a preschool through Grade 8 public education. We are seeking Substitutes to work as Paraeducators at a rate of $116.00 for a 6.5 hour work day. We are looking for substitute Teachers for the classrooms at a rate of $160 for an 8 hour work day. These are temporary assignments when an employee is out for the day. These are "as needed" on a daily schedule. We are looking for paraeducator substitutes when a para calls out. These are "as needed" on school days.

*Duties*
- Fill in for absent paraeducators or teachers and provide instruction following provided lesson plans
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students
- Implement classroom management strategies effectively
- Support students in their educational activities and provide guidance as needed
*Skills*
- Experience working with students in educational settings
- Ability to assist with tutoring, literacy education, and behavior management
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, and staff
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments and educational needs
