Day Program-Direct Support Professional Facilitator
Location: Cincinnati, OH, 45241
Starting Base Pay: $17.00 with no experience, more based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time, 8 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, no Holidays or weekends required.
Requirements: Valid driver's license with fewer than 6 points and car insurance required. *** COVID Vaccination Required
Job Duties:
- Provide exceptional personal care and companionship to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Accompany adults with all aspects of personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and comfort while meeting their specific physical and medical needs
- Establish a rapport with our Day Program participants while creating a positive and supportive environment
- Vigilantly monitor individuals to manage risks, while prioritizing health and safety at all times.
- Engage individuals in sensory, social, and Recreational activities.
- Coordinates all staff assignments, bus schedules, and activities as needed. Assists with scheduling staff as needed. Assigns breaks and lunches to DSPs and adjusts DSP assignments as needed to ensure adequate coverage to meet the needs of all participants. Coordinates in conjunction with Supervisor the DSP training schedules.
- Provides feedback and send input of staff performance to the Site Manager. Completes progress notes and quality assurance monitors on DSPs to include work performance concerns, in-servicing needs, redirections and other related items. Coaches and addresses minor disciplinary concerns as needed
- In collaboration with the Site Manager, Program Coordinator and Program Manager, leads and guide staff to assure our Pathways of Opportunities and Four focuses are understood and implemented on a daily bases.
- Serves as a liaison between DSP and Program Coordinator to assure programming needs are met and all related documentation is completed seeking clarification when needed to support the DSP in their implementation
- Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience and training preferred
