We are seeking a highly skilled Production and Facilities Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of distillery production and facilities management. This critical role combines leadership in distillery operations with expert-level oversight of facilities management, ensuring efficient production schedules, seamless team coordination, and the optimal operation of our distillery environment. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities :
Production Management :
Oversee the entire production process, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production goals.
Develop and maintain efficient production schedules, coordinating with production team members to meet deadlines.
Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Facilities Management :
Lead the scheduling and coordination of the facilities team, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal performance for all distillery operations.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all distillery equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for facility upgrades, repairs, and inspections.
Team Coordination :
Manage and schedule team members across both production and facilities departments to ensure smooth workflows and collaboration.
Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Collaborate with Human Resources for hiring, onboarding, and staff development to maintain a high-performing team.
Compliance and Safety :
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding production and facility operations, including OSHA and food safety guidelines.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to uphold a safe and secure work environment.
Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and safety inspections.
Strategic Planning :
Contribute to strategic planning efforts for production capacity, facility expansion, and operational improvements.
Manage budgets for production and facility operations, including cost forecasting and expense control.
Innovate and implement sustainable practices to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Qualifications :
Expert-level knowledge of distillery production processes and equipment, including fermentation, distillation, bottling, and packaging.
Proven experience in facilities management , preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Familiarity with compliance requirements for distillery operations and facility management.
Proficient in scheduling software, production tracking tools, and maintenance management systems.
Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certification in facilities management or production operations (e.g., CFM, CPM).
Experience with sustainability initiatives in production and facilities operations.
