What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supportive Housing Director position at St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County?
This position is responsible for providing leadership in developing, planning, organizing and directing the activities associated with housing and support services in multiple programs. The Supportive Housing Director ensures successful operations of the assigned departments and ensures the grants and funding sources are executed effectively and within the parameter of the grant terms.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Team building and coaching program managers to guide in the development and training of case managers and support staff of the assigned programs.
- Identify strengths and challenges in each team to improve efficiency and effectiveness and foster a professional and supportive culture where staff can accomplish goals and feel good about their contributions.
- Review financials and budget variance reports to monitor financial stability and compliance with funding sources.
- Maintain final review and approval of all contracts associated with the department.
- Work collaboratively with internal resources in the preparation and review of all applicable reporting to ensure compliance.
- Lead the annual preparation for the supporting housing budgets.
- Attend required meetings and training.
3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working within the supportive housing environment.
- Ability to manage complex interpersonal issues related to both staff and clients.
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of the mental, emotional, and physical impacts of trauma.
- Computer proficiency and ability to use smartphone, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and other programs necessary.
- Knowledge of federal/state/ local Fair Housing laws and policies.
- Knowledge of the local social services system or system navigation.
This position is based in Eugene, Oregon, at the Administrative Office of St; Vincent de Paul and requires frequent travel throughout Lane County.
