Accounts Receivable Specialist (Part-Time, 20 Hours)

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounts receivable processes.

Position Details: * Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 1:30pm to 5pm, Friday 9am to 5pm) * Work Environment: In-Office Only. * Compensation: $17/hr

Responsibilities

• Invoicing: Prepare and send customer invoices promptly using QuickBooks Online.
• Payment Tracking: Monitor accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely receipt of payments.
• Collections: Follow up on overdue accounts professionally via email, phone, or mail.
• Record-Keeping: Accurately record customer payments in QuickBooks Online.
• Customer Support: Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports to share with management.
• Estimate Follow-Up: Follow up with customers on pending estimates to answer questions, address concerns, and encourage project approval.
• Warm Calls: Assist with making warm calls to potential clients to introduce company services, build relationships, and generate new leads.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping, preferably in the construction or roofing industry. * * Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

• Comfortable making follow-up and warm calls to clients and potential customers.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
