Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

At STACK, the Senior Accountant is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right hand person to the Accounting Director.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
- Prepare quarterly board reports
- Assist with loan compliance requirements
- Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit
Technical Accounting:
- Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with research and implementation of new accounting standards
- Prepare technical memos as needed
- Be a resource to the Finance and Accounting Department on accounting guidance
General:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including GL Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Tax and Legal teams
- Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward
- Identify and implement ideas for process improvement
THE DETAILS:
- Location: Denver, CO – 3 days in office
- Travel: less than 10%
- Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Bonus
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Accounting required
- 3 years prior work experience
- CPA and public accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience preparing financial statements required
- Experience researching technical accounting topics and documenting findings preferred
- Multi-entity and international experience preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Workiva experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
- Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
- Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
- Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures
