The Logistics Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a warehouse. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining equipment. The Logistics Foreman will play a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Key Activities
- Supervise Warehouse Operations: Oversee receiving, storing, handling, and shipping of goods.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
- Staff Management: Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and provide training to warehouse staff.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety guidelines and conduct regular safety drills.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and schedule repairs as needed. This includes but is not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks
- Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement procedures to improve productivity and efficiency. Including the picking and packing process which is crucial for production.
- Customer Service: Address internal and external customer inquiries and resolve issues related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
- Must have the ability to learn internal ERP system
- Reasoning and Decision-Making Skills
- Work will be performed outdoors in varying climates as well as temperature control environments inside the warehouse
